There are a couple of ways to figure out what size unit will best meet your needs. One is to call us and schedule a time to physically take a look at the size unit you’d like to rent BEFORE you rent. Sometimes there’s just no substitute for this because it allows you to picture your things in differently-sized spaces. Measure the largest item you have so you’ll have an idea what space that item will require. Remember that even though self-storage sizes are quoted in square footage, you're actually using cubic footage. All of our units are at least 8 feet high just inside the door.

To get a basic idea what size you may need, here are some guidelines to help you effectively choose the space that’s right for you.
5X5X8 or 200 cu ft
Equivalent to a half-bath or closet. Can hold a chest or drawers, several boxes and other small items; or several chairs and small boxes. Suitable for office and personal records and/or work tools. Will hold 30 standard file boxes on shelves or 36 boxes without shelving.
5X10X8 or 400 cu ft
Equivalent to a large walk-in closet. Ideal for couch, chair, chest or dresser, mattress plus boxes or small items; or outdoor furniture, one or more bicycles/motorcycle, garden tools and small items. Will hold up to 48 standard file boxes on shelves or 84 boxes without shelving.
6X14X8 or 672 cu ft
Equivalent to a small bedroom. Ideal for couch, chair, chest or dresser, mattress plus boxes or small to medium sized items ; or outdoor furniture, one or more bicycles/motorcycle, garden tools and small to medium sized items. Will hold up to 66 standard file boxes on shelves or 102 boxes without shelving.
10X10X8 or 800 cu ft
Equivalent to an average sized bedroom about half the size of a one car garage. Will hold the furnishings of a one bedroom apartment, including appliances and several small items or boxes. Will hold 108 standard file boxes on shelves or 132 boxes without shelving.
10X14X8 or 1120 cu ft
Equivalent to a master bedroom. Will hold the furnishings of a two bedroom apartment, including appliances and several small items or boxes. Will hold 126 standard file boxes on shelves or 150 boxes without shelving.
10X20X8 or 1600 cu ft
Equivalent of a one-car garage and more. Will accommodate the contents of a two bedroom home with appliances plus miscellaneous items. Patio furniture and many boxes. Good for storing a vehicle, small boat or even some construction equipment.
